Map Guide
Introduction
The Twisted Woods are the largest and most annoying labyrinth of Drakensang Online, with several important quests and achievements tied to them. Below are several key points you need to understand before navigating the maps. Remember, you can complete the quests and achievements in any difficulty.
Mushrooms
While completing the quests, there will be both Ranger Tree Stumps and Doorways marked by red mushrooms with white dots. These are your landmarks. See images below if you don’t know what they look like. So, when the quests say follow the mushrooms, it literally means follow the mushrooms. These landmarks will become less important once the quests are done, but while you’re doing them, they are your guide beacons.
Maps
You may notice that I have many different maps that all “look identical” but are numbered differently.
They are not identical. They have a similar shape, but the placement of decorative details such as trees, water, and lighting are different. More importantly, the tree stumps are different, and the doorways lead to different places!! So do not be lazy, just because two maps “look identical” - they are NOT IDENTICAL!
Doorways
There are arrows on the ground that lead to different maps. Important: Most arrows can lead to more than one possible map and it’s entirely random whether you land on option A or option B! (The exceptions are the ones that are part of the main quests. Those are the only doorways with a fixed destination.)
As such, it can take many, many tries before you get the map you desire. Don’t give up! Put some background music on (or Ducky’s old live streams) and just grind till you get there.
Stumps
There are “Ranger Tree Stumps” scattered throughout the maps. These are interactive objects and will trigger the opening of doorways that lead to the next map. Each Ranger Tree Stump triggers a different set of doorways to appear. (The doorways will look exactly the same, but they are not the same.) Therefore, be careful which Stump you click on!
The Infamous Map 5
Nearly every single doorway has the possibility of landing you into Map 5. Map 5 is the “dead end” map that will lead you back to the starting point. Sometimes, I got a bit lazy and didn’t label that a doorway leads to Map 5, but it still does. You’ve been warned.
Video guide
For those who are audio-visual learners, this video guide will cover how to get through the Twisted Woods to complete quests as well as how to navigate for the achievements. If you’re not a video-learner, skip further down for the written guides.
Artaya’s Clearing & Conlan
You can just follow the mushrooms to find this place. But, if you really want the instructions, here it is.

Nerina
After you’ve had a chat with Conlan, they’ll send you to find Nerina. For the first part, the instructions are identical, you need to reach Artaya’s Clearing. I’m not going to repeat myself, scroll up if you need instructions for finding Artaya’s Clearing.
Tip: If the image is too small, clicking on it will open the full-sized version.
Starting at Artaya’s Clearing, exit out the only door on the map and head to Map 8.
2. Spawn in at the Yellow Star.

5. Say hello to Nerina.
Sybil
You have to pick up the quest series “Hide and Seek” to need to find Sybil. Here’s the trick, only the shape of the map matters. So just stumble around blindly until you find the correct map shape, and you’ll find Sybil at each location marked with a Red Star.
Tip: If the image is too small, clicking on it will open the full-sized version.
Example of a map you can find Sybil for “Hide and Seek 1/3.”

FAQs
-
Get lucky. It’s all luck-based. Maybe send some prayers, offerings, and burn some incense? :P

8 hours, spread out over 2 weeks.
-
It all boils down to luck. I had one friend get it on the first group of monsters we killed the first time we stepped into the map. Meanwhile, I finished mapping the entire labyrinth before mine dropped.

Cool story, bro.
Scratch that.
